Details

26 ft by 8 ft. 4 wheels. 2 first class compartments of 6 ft 11 in and 2 second class compartments of 5 ft 8½ in (2nd-1st-1st-2nd). Seating 16 in 1st class and 20 in second class. Tare 8 tons 16 cwt. Diagrams 31 and 41 were identical when built, with the exception that Dia.31 were close coupled suburban stock and Dia.41 had long buffers. Dia.31 were later modified to match Dia.41.
